Welcome to That's My Houston Spotlight on Ways to Give Back this Holiday season. This year our real estate agents at The Somerlyn Group have pulled together to help make a difference and we have selected an incredible non-profit that has continued to make an impact on our residents for 10 years, Cy-Hope . It was an honor for Nichole Agosto and I to interview Lynda Zeleka, the excutive Director of Cy-Hope.

Established in 2011, Cy-Hope's mission is simple, no child should go hungry and everyone should have access to mental health, enrichment and opportunities to succeed in life. With over 9 acres of beautiful grounds all are welcome. Cy-hope Has 9 programs including The Hope Chest resale market, satellite Hope Centers that include their STEM Skills Mobile Bus, and the Cy-Hope counseling and speech therapy center that offers treatment on a sliding scale for adults and children.

Due to Covid The Hope chest had to close for 6 weeks and many of their fundraisers had to be cancelled, But we have good news, a generous donor has agreed to match $100,000 contribution for the month of December so we wanted to share with you what Cy-Hope has done for our community in hopes to spread the word and help get them to their goal this holiday season so they can continue their programs to enrich lives and well beings of people in need.

We were amazed to learn that Cy-Hope's Program Support is 88%! That is the portion that goes directly to helping our community. Only 4% goes to fundraising and 8% to Admin. Rest assured your money is going to benefit our community in a great way.
